Okay - I admit. I abandoned the blog again. But believe me - if you knew all that had been happening lately, you would understand. Some of it I can go in to, some of it I won't. Bottom line - we are on a roller coaster and just hitting the first turn.
This January, my sister Julie was diagnosed with breast cancer. Surgery this week discovered that is present in the lymph nodes and she has a long road ahead. She spent a night at Cox South in Springfield with Momma Moore at her bedside - and apparently they are both home now...resting. Only Julie & Mom could turn a hospital stay in to a slumber party full of story telling, TV watching and gorging themselves with snacks. But I am glad they did! I only wish that I could have been there - for Julie, for Mom and for the fun.
Julie is just now entering a journey that no one should have to experience. But she is one strong woman - who is going to kick cancer's butt. I can't wait to turn to her a while from and say something that she used to say back in the day, "stick a fork in it, it's done!"
If you want to follow Julie's story, please do at www.carepages.com/carepages/JulieG. Feel to send her messages and join in the conversation.
On to other news - well I will save that for later. But stay tuned. More to come soon!
