-- A co-worker says, "Momma Moore is on the phone. It is not an emergency, but she said you would be very interested in what she has to say..." And I certainly was - Shoes were at least 40% off at Dillards - even Coach! I love shoes!!
-- You are down with back issues, your husband is sick and you still manage to have a great time on the lake with friends. Those were the events of last weekend. I could barely walk or move and Blaine had a snotty nose and cough. But we toughed it out and hosted 6 friends on our boat including 2 year old Addison for her first boat adventure. The day was great - although Candi lost her cell phone in the water....
-- Walk in to your office at work and part of your furniture is missing - the ugly filing cabinet that I despised. My co-workers moved it one evening while I was gone. I loved that surprise.
-- You arrive at work and start off your morning with coffee AND chocolate chip cookies.
-- You know that you are going to see your family sooner than later. If not next week, Mom, Dad and Shania will be visiting me while I am at the State Fair. We are headed to see Brooks and Dunn in concert. Let's hope it is not 110 degrees that day!!
-- You know as soon as you leave the office, you are headed home to pack for another weekend at the lake.

Raise Your Hand....
Raise your hand if you are tired of hearing about the latest, breaking Michael Jackson news. Go ahead - throw your arm in the air. I am.
RIP Michael Jackson but for pete's sake, give it a rest! I know it is sad that this icon passed away and there are so many unanswer questions. But until you have an answer to why the King of Pop died and where his kids are going to land, give it up.
I work with the media everyday and know the hype that they put on things. I understand that breaking news sells headlines which means more money from advertisers and more money in the media's greedy pockets - I get it, I really do. But for the sake of humanity and the sake of my insanity, put issues that aren't major issues anymore to rest for a while.
We all expect you to pick up the story again when it is a story. Heck, even Octomom said yesterday on TMZ that Michael Jackson had given her a break. Lord knows she needs a break so she can go back to pretending she knows how to take care of her 14 kids. What a nutjob she is?!?!
Poor Farrah Fawcett and Ed McMahaon have barely been mentioned in the passing weeks and look what they did as stars - Farrah brought sexy back to the screen and I waited endless hours for ole Ed to show up my doorstep with my million bucks. I think that beats the silver shiny glove any day!

Como Estes!
Hello friends. Life's crazy journeys have kept me from writing for quite some time. I do have to say the past 30 days have had quite the ups and downs (literally and figuratively.)
For those who I have spoken to recently...a couple of notes:
** I survived the 6 seater plane ride both days and can truly say I had two thoughts about the whole ordeal......(excuse my French) 1. Holy shit and 2. Holy shit that was cool. Since I am not a huge fan of flying, I was unsure if I needed to bring a helmet and full body gear or a vomit bag. I hyped up on Midol, Imodium, a large Dr. Pepper and a big ole maple covered cinnamon roll the first day. Shear exhaustion got me through the second day.
God has a funny way of taking your mind off of things - and just as soon as I got to the airport on day one, my top flew open. 3 of the buttons on my shirt just came undone! I was mortified to say the very least.....I was with some real dignitaries and didn't need this embarrassment. No one seemed to notice and I went on my way - just long enough for it to happen again. Two wardrobe malfunctions in 15 minutes?!?!? I thank God for this distraction....between my shirt and my intake of food and meds, I wasn't thinking about that flight anymore.
** Blaine and I have decided to stay in Jefferson City! Choosing between your current life and what your life could be is a decision that I don't wish upon anyone. The past month or two of thinking, analyzing, thinking some more, discussing and tearing up has been one heck of a roller coaster ride. After we realized what Tulsa spelled backwards, we knew it was not for us. (No...that was not our real deciding factor.) Our real deciding factors were many things: good jobs, a house we love but most importantly all of the awesome friends we have in our lives right now that has taken us 30 years to find. We love our family too, but Tulsa and Jeff City are the same distance apart from our family (and I should say too far, but that's another story.) So we are here to stay mid-Missouri.
** Ike has survived and is feeling like a champ. Ike is our 11 year old lab that was given a death sentence about a month ago. He has severe arthritis and developed kennel cough. After 3 vet visits, he was given 1 to 6 months to live - before we would be forced to put him down. After several days of 14 pills a day, Ike is down to 1 measly pill a day and is our little rock star dog. Sure - he acted loopy and drunk for two weeks. But now he is back to normal.
** Katie, my Yorkie, got to attend Take Your Dog To Work Day and was featured on the local news. Her bright pink and black blinged shirt was adorable. Although we didn't enter the contest, Katie and I won the Dog/Owner Look-a-Like Contest.....oh my...I will post pictures at another time.
That's my updates in a nutshell.
Happy 4th to all!!
